(SAILSBURY, NC) – Dec. 6, 2018– Thanks to the combined efforts of Shaun Lee, Olga Bryzhan, Seth Daughety of GESS International in collaboration with Canadian Solar and Lumina Sun, a massive solar project is coming to North Carolina. GESS International in collaboration with Lumina Sun, provided PV solar panels to Lumina Sun to construct a 1.3MW Solar project in Salisbury, NC. The system is estimated to produce approximately 1,850,000 Kwh per year. This amount of electricity is the equivalent of over 200 homes electricity, 278 passenger vehicles driven and over 1,400,000 pounds of coal burned each year. The system owner is generating over $189,000 per year worth of electricity to offset the current operating costs of the farm it is installed at. Along with the environmental benefits of solar, there are many economic benefits such as job creation, local businesses benefiting from the influx of workers in the area during construction and a cleaner healthier lifestyle.
GESS International is developing more than 10 Biogas anaerobic digester plants around the United States and is utilizing solar to help lower the carbon intensity by offsetting the use of fossil fuels to power these plants. The plant will require about 1.6 megawatts of power, that will be supplied by a stand-alone solar system and battery bank. Implementing a solar system to power the Anaerobic Digester will reduce the dependency of fossil fuels needed to power the mixing system, upgrading system, and drying equipment.
GESS International is also extending its reach into international markets, most recently in Ukraine, with the signing of MOU’s in the Zytomyr Oblast State Administration. GESS International was invited to an annual investment meeting to bring prospective investment opportunities to the region. The publicly signed MOU’s allows GESS to build within Phase 1 a 10 MW solar system, and Phase 2 a 20 MW solar field. GESS was deemed the number one entity at this meeting to bring investment and projects to the Zytomyr region, and their endeavors are widely supported.
